How to Draw a Werewolf

In this tutorial, we have decided to add some classic mysticism and horror and show you how to draw a werewolf. So, let’s begin the tutorial!
How to draw a werewolf step by step
Step 1: Sketch the basic figure
First, draw a stick figure – a person made of lines and circles. Using an oval, draw the outline of the head. Using lines, draw the guidelines for the spine, arms, and legs. Use light, smooth lines for sketching in the first steps. Note that the werewolf’s proportions are not particularly different from human proportions, as in the tutorial on drawing a doctor.

Step 2: Build the upper body
Start adding volume to the werewolf. First, draw the facial symmetry guidelines. Draw the vertical line that shows the center of the face. The longest horizontal line will help us draw the eyes. Below it, add two lines for the nose and mouth. Using triangles, sketch the ears at the top of the head. Using ovals, sketch the shoulders and elbows. Using cylinders, sketch the arms. Draw the hands as shown in our example, then move to the next step.

Step 3: Add volume to the legs
Next, add volume to the legs. Using cylinders, draw the thighs and shins. Note that the thighs and shins are equal in length. Using circles, draw the knees. Draw the feet as shown in the example below. The general shapes of the werewolf are ready, and in the next step, we will start adding details.

Step 4: Draw the beastly face
Now, draw the fierce, beastly face of the Werewolf. Using the horizontal facial guideline, continue by drawing the narrow eyes. Note that the eyes should be small and narrow. Below the eyes, continue by drawing the canine nose in the shape of the letter T. Draw an unnaturally large, beastly mouth. Using short strokes, draw the hair around the face.

Step 5: Add the facial details
Now, draw the details of the werewolf’s face. Using two thick curved lines, sketch the eyebrows above the eyes. Add wrinkles to the face to make it look more fierce and beastly. Draw the triangular teeth inside the mouth, as shown in our example.

Step 6: Draw the shaggy mane
In this step, draw the werewolf’s mane. Using lines of different lengths, draw the hair texture. The hair lines should be close to one another. Also, remember that the hair lines should extend from the roots to the tips. Trace the ear outlines as shown in our example below, then move to the next step.

Step 7: Define the lean torso
This step is very simple. Draw the contours of the torso. Using two long, curved lines, draw the pectoral muscles. Sketch the line of the lean abdomen as shown in the example below. Add a little more hair lying over the shoulders.

Step 8: Refine the arms and hands
Now, draw the arms and hands of the werewolf. They should be fairly thin and sinewy. Note that the hands should look human but longer and disproportionate. Draw the muscle contours of the arms as shown in the example below. Add hair to the arms. Sketch the long fingers and knuckles.

Step 9: Refine the legs and feet
Erase the guidelines from the legs. Draw the contours of the thighs and shins. Draw the knees of the Werewolf. Using short lines, draw the hair on the shins. Draw the feet as shown below. Sketch the foot joints and long toes.

Step 10: Add the final shadows to the monster
Now, draw shadows on the werewolf. First, determine the location of the light source. In this tutorial, the light comes from above. Add shadows using light, loose hatching. In the darkest areas, add another layer of shading.
