How to Draw a Spyglass

In one of the previous tutorials, we showed you how to draw a monocular, and here in a similar tutorial we will show you how to draw a spyglass.
This tool was very common for many centuries and was one of the best friends of many seafarers, explorers, and pirates.
So if you depict one of the above characters, then it is quite possible that you will need to know how to draw a spyglass.
This item is actually very simple to draw. We have divided the process into three simple stages, each of which has an easy description.
How to draw a spyglass step by step
Step 1: Sketch the main cylinder
A spyglass is essentially a few cylinders nested inside each other. So first, draw a simple cylinder using two long lines. On one side, draw an oval, and on the opposite side add a C-shaped line. Use fairly light lines at this stage.

Step 2: Add the telescoping sections
Now repeat the back of the cylinder three more times. Each next cylinder should be smaller and look as if it is nested inside the larger cylinder. At the front, draw the lens using another simple C-shaped line. Try to draw all the parts aligned in the same direction.

Step 3: Add highlights and shadows
The spyglass drawing is almost complete, but it will look too flat until we add shadows. First of all, sketch highlights on the lens in the form of two simple strokes. Next, use hatching to draw shadows in the areas where the light does not fall.

So, the three simple stages of the tutorial on how to draw a spyglass are behind us, and we are fully confident that with their help you can now draw this simple but cool tool.
As mentioned above, try to draw a spyglass not only separately, but also in the hands of some conqueror of the seas or a soldier on the tower of a citadel or fortress.
