How to Draw Tongs

Hello everyone and welcome to DrawingForAll. On our site there is a category called “Tools” where we add lessons about the most different tools for a variety of purposes. Today we decided to create a lesson about how to draw tongs.

 

Step 1

First we draw two long and narrow rectangles that converge at one point.

Step 2

At the tips of the rectangle draw two ovals as in our example.

Step 3

Using clear and dark lines draw out the handles. Do not forget to draw the rivet at the point of convergence.

Step 4

Now go to the tips and draw them with wavy lines. Remove all unnecessary guidelines.

Step 5

Now let’s add some shadows and glare using hatching. This action will make our drawing more voluminous.
