How to Draw a Chicken for Kids

 

Hello, dear aspiring artists! Today we will tell you how to draw a chicken for children! This tutorial continues a series of drawing lessons about animals. They are all very simple but, nevertheless, they based on the basic proportions of the body, which is very important for beginning artist. We have drawn a cow, a goat and a goose, and now we will learn to draw a chicken. Let’s start the tutorial!

 

Step 1

At first sketch out the shapes of the head and body. The shape of the head with the neck is very similar to a pear. And the shape of the torso is similar to a bean.

 

Step 2

Using a wavy line draw a comb at the top of the head. Using a circle draw the eye. Draw the beak in the form of a triangle and draw a wattle under the beak. Using a jagged line draw the feathering at the lower part of the neck.

 

Step 3

Sketch out the wing in the shape of an oval. Using a wavy line draw the feathers of the tail.

 

Step 4

Draw the feathers in the oval from the previous step. Draw the legs as in our example.

 

Step 5

Erase the unnecessary guidelines. Darken and smoothen the lines of the drawing. Paint out the eye as in our example.
