How to Draw Chibi Zenyatta

We decided it was time to draw another character from Overwatch. This game quickly gained the attention of many players after its release.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to draw chibi Zenyatta step by step.
How to draw chibi Zenyatta step by step
Step 1: Sketch the head and torso
Start drawing this character with simple geometric shapes. The head resembles a rounded form with a pointed lower edge. Make the head noticeably larger than the torso.

Step 2: Add the folded limbs
Draw the small limbs close to the body. Bend the arms at sharp angles and place the legs tightly against the torso.

Step 3: Mark the mask and orbs
Add the main details by outlining the eye openings and hands. Then sketch several orbs floating around Zenyatta to show his telekinetic ability.

Step 4: Refine Zenyatta’s mask
Carefully refine the contours of Zenyatta’s mask. Draw the six openings arranged across the forehead, then complete the final shapes of the eye openings.

Step 5: Draw the hands and fingers
Small details are usually simplified in chibi drawings. Here, however, draw Zenyatta’s fingers because they clearly convey the pose and gesture of the character.

Step 6: Add shadows and finish the drawing
Add shadows inside the eye openings and on the arms, legs, and levitating orbs. Refine the floating orbs and make their outlines as round and smooth as possible.

Now that you know how to draw chibi Zenyatta, try applying the same techniques to other characters. The same simple proportions and construction methods can be used for almost any chibi design.
