How to draw Vision from Marvel

The Marvel universe has been around for many decades, and in this universe there are a lot of different characters. In our opinion, one of the most interesting characters in this universe is Vision – a robot-android with phenomenal intelligence. And in this drawing lesson, we want to show you how to draw Vision.

Step 1

All drawing lessons about people begin with a skeleton, such a “stickman”, and this lesson is no exception. With the help of very light lines, we sketch out the head in the shape of an oval and the line of the neck and spine. On the spine sketch out the chest and pelvis. With the help of simple lines sketch out the arms and legs. By the way, in order to learn how to draw a stickman, visit the lesson on how to draw a man.

Step 2

Let’s now add some muscles and volume to our Vision drawing. First of all, we will sketch out two lines on the head that will help us draw the details of the face. Next, we sketch out the neck and outlines of the torso, which widens in the shoulders and narrows in the waist. With the help of very light lines and simple geometric lines sketch out the arms and legs.

Step 3

So, in order to make our drawing look more like Vision, and not a dummy, we’ll add some basic details to the drawing. Let’s start with the head, sketching the eyes, nose and mouth with light lines. Next, sketch out the outlines of the mask and high collar. Sketch out the long cape and lines of the costume details. Do not forget to sketch a rhombus on the chest.

Step 4

In the previous steps we used very light, almost invisible lines. Starting with this step, we will use darker and clearer lines. Using such lines draw out the details of the face, as shown in our example and the outlines of the mask. Remove unnecessary guidelines from the head and draw out the collar.

Step 5

Now let’s move on to the torso. Here we will need to accurately draw out powerful pectoral muscles, abdominals and the shape of the torso, which, as we have already said, should narrow in the waist area. In the same step we need to draw out the lines of the cloak on the shoulders and remove all unnecessary guidelines on the torso.

Let’s move to the arms of Vision now. With the help of clear and dark lines carefully draw out the outlines of the large muscles of the arms – deltoids, biceps, triceps and muscles of the forearms. Carefully draw out the hands as shown in our example (to learn more about this visit the lesson on how to draw hands).

Step 7

Let’s do the same now, but with the lower part of the body of Vision – that is, we will draw out all the details, using clear and dark lines. When drawing the legs, consider all the lines of the muscles and knee joints, as shown in our example. By the way, for this you can use ink, as do comics artists.
