How to Draw a Girl Face
If you want to learn how to draw a girl face, you are in the right place. We decided to create this basic drawing lesson so that you can once again practice creating simple but cool portraits.
Step 1
Firstly, draw a rough outline of the face. It can be a long or wide oval, depending on your initial idea. With us, it looks like a long, elongated egg.
Step 2
Secondly, let’s do a little markup. With the help of short lines we denote the location of facial features and hair. This is the most important step in the entire tutorial.
Step 3
Draw the outlines of the eyes. Use the lines from the previous step as a guide. If you see any inaccuracies in the location or shape of the eyes, now you can fix it without any problems.
Step 4
Now let’s add some details. Draw the pupils, do not forget about the lines of the lower eyelids as in our sample. The direction of the character’s gaze depends on the location of the pupils.
Step 5
So, let’s go a little lower. Here we can draw the nose using three smooth lines. Note that the distance between the vertical lines equal the character’s nose width.
Step 6
Draw the contours of the lips. In our case, the lower lip is larger than the upper lip, but you can create any shape of the mouth according to your imagination.
Step 7
Hairstyle is also a very individual thing. If you decide to choose our option, mark the contours of long hair with a few long, smooth lines.
Step 8
Erase extra lines from the entire drawing. Draw the outer contours of the hair and add some lines to represent the roots of the hair.
Step 9
So, add some shadows. It looks like spots formed by single-layer hatching. Place these areas where the light does not fall.
Step 10
In the end, you should have received something like this. If your drawing is too different from our sample, you can trace the step with the mistake and fix it.
So, we hope that this was a really useful drawing lesson for you. Do not forget to write us in the comments about how good the result you got. We really look forward to your feedback because it inspires us.
