How to Draw Constantine from Comics
Most of the comic characters from our site are wearing colorful costumes. But today’s character is dressed like an ordinary person.
In appearance, this is an ordinary office worker with a tired face. So, let’s start this drawing lesson about how to draw Constantine.
Step 1
Let’s start with the skeleton, outlining the oval head and the long line of the spine. Next, we draw a chest and a pelvis. With the help of simple lines, we sketch out the arms and legs. Do not forget that the first steps in drawing lessons about people should be drawn with very light lines.
Step 2
Here we sketch two intersecting lines on the head, with which we will later draw details of the face. Next, outline the neck, which goes into the torso. Sketch out the arms and legs with simple geometric figures. Just like in the previous step, everything should be drawn with light lines.
Step 3
In this step, we will add the most basic details, and just like in the previous two steps we will use very light lines. First sketch out the outlines of the face and hair, using the crossed lines on the head. Next, sketch out the outlines of clothing as shown in our example.
Step 4
So, starting with this step, we will use clear and dark lines. We start with the head, first of all carefully drawing out the outlines of the eyes, nose and mouth. Next, draw out disheveled hair, ear and shape of the face. Remove all unnecessary guidelines from the head and go to step number four.
Step 5
Now let’s move on to the torso. Here we need to carefully draw out the outlines of the collars of the shirt and coat. Next, draw a tie and outlines of the top of the coat. Add all the necessary folds to the shirt and coat and delete unnecessary lines from the torso.
Step 6
Let’s now move to the arms of Constantine. Continuing the lines of the shoulders, we carefully draw out the outlines of the sleeves. Add the folds, as shown in our example. In the same step, draw hands (or rather, the only visible hand). Erase unnecessary guidelines from our arms and move to the legs.
Step 7
With the help of long and smooth lines draw out the outlines of the pants. Add some folds in the places of compression or stretching of the tissue. In the same step we draw the belt and the necessary seams, as in our example.
Step 8
The last step remains, in which we will traditionally add shadows, as shown in our example. And as always, first we determine the light source and add shadows in the area where the light does not fall. We will do this with the help of classic hatching.
