How to Draw a Witch
Hello, dear artists and welcome to the lesson on how to draw a witch. We think that we should not tell who witches are. They have long become the favorite characters of various books, films and cartoons and today we will show you how to draw them.
Step 1
So, today we will draw a witch on a broom. First sketch out the head, below draw the chest, spine and pelvis. Draw arms and legs with simple lines. We always say this and now we also recall that at the first steps we need to use very light and almost invisible lines.
Step 2
Sketch out the neck and torso, which expands in the area of the chest and pelvis and narrows in the waist area. Next sketch out the arms using simple geometric figures. Then draw the legs. Note that in contrast to the male legs, the female legs widen in the area of the hips and narrow in the are of the knees. Sketch out the broom and move to the step three.
Step 3
Let’s add some details. Sketch out the famous pointed with hat. Next draw the hair below hat. Next sketch out the details of the clothing, such as a skirt and a cape. So, the main details are ready, let’s get down to work on the final detail.
Step 4
Accurately draw out the hat. Next, draw a long nose, eyes, lips and a long chin. Using long and slightly curved lines draw out the hair.
Step 5
Let’s work with the upper body of our witch. Carefully draw out clothes and add some folds as in our example. Next draw out the arms with clear lines and remove all lines from the upper body.
Step 6
Now draw out the dress and long folds and feet appearing from under the dresses. Erase all remaining guidelines from the body of our witch.
Step 7
Continue the drawing lesson about how to draw a witch. It is very simple step where we just need to draw out the long broom of our witch.
Step 8
The drawing is almost ready. How can we make our witch voluminous and more realistic? Of course by adding shadows. If we imagine that light falls on our witch from the front, then the shadows should fall on the back of the parts of her body.
Do you think this lesson was simple enough? Or maybe you have some difficulties when drawing a witch. Be sure to write about it in the comments under this article.
