How to Draw a North American Porcupine

Step 1
Draw the porcupine as follows: first sketch out the head and torso in the form of two simple ovals.
Step 2
Now draw limbs, tail and a branch, on which our North American porcupine sits.
Step 3
Add the ear, mouth and eye. On the back draw lines of long spikes. Make the branch a little thicker.
Step 4
Erasing guidelines carefully draw out the details of the head. Do not forget to draw whiskers.
Step 5
Now with the help of short strokes draw spikes on the body. At the same step draw out the branch and remove all the remaining additional lines.

Now add a few more lines of spikes and add shadows to make our drawing more voluminous.
