How To Draw a Perfume Bottle

Finished perfume bottle drawing with highlights and hatched shadows

In this Drawing For All tutorial, we are going to show you how to draw a perfume bottle. This simple object is easy to draw, and we will guide you through the process.

We have divided this tutorial into three elementary steps, each containing simple lines and an accessible explanation.

How to draw a perfume bottle step by step

Step 1: Outline the bottle

Perfume bottles can, of course, have many different shapes, but here we decided to show you the simplest kind so that anyone can follow this tutorial. Using straight, dark lines, draw two rectangles positioned one above the other.

Step 2: Add highlights and shadows

Now, turn these two rectangles into a perfume bottle. Using a pair of long diagonal strokes, sketch the highlight. Next, add shadows inside the bottle contours with uneven lines. You can also slightly change your perfume bottle drawing by adding a logo or some bubbles inside.

Step 3: Shade the bottle cap

Move to the top of the perfume bottle drawing and add some shadows. On the left side, add a highlight using a slightly curved vertical line. On the right side, draw shadows using hatching. To darken the shadows on the bottle, simply add another layer of hatching.

If you followed all the steps correctly, your perfume bottle drawing should now be complete. This was a very simple tutorial.

The only challenging part was adding shadows to the drawing. If you easily completed this tutorial, it is time to move on to more difficult tutorials, such as drawing a smartphone or drawing a girl.
