How to Draw Max from The Secret Life of Pets

Hello, dear readers of DrawingForAll! We made a new drawing tutorial specially for lovers of animated movies. And we are ready to tell how to draw Max from the The Secret Life of Pets.

 

Step 1

First we draw the contours of the head. In this drawing tutorial we decide not to use the stickman because we draw in cartoon style.

Step 2

This step will be very easy. Just draw a circle figure and connect this figure and head drawing the neck. The neck in this picture is a short cilynder. We can’t see the upper part of the neck because this part is located behind the mandible.

Step 3

Ok, now we draw the legs and tail. And we have a some impirtant things in this step:

• The front legs look larger than the rear legs;
• Each leg has a thin part in the middle and a thickening at the edges. Looks like a bone which also have thin part in the middle (the diaphysis) and wide edges (the epiphyses);
• The tail is very close to the head.

Step 4

We have something looks like a contour of the dog. And now we will draw the facial features to make the sketch alive. So we draw a nose (look like an oval), mouth (just ordinary line) and the eyes.

Step 5

So we add some details to the previous step’s actions. First we draw the pupils. After that separate the face using one curve line. Also in this step you should draw the nostrils and the eyebrows.

Step 6

Now it’s time to draw a collar. Don’t forget about medallion-bone.

Step 7

Let’s draw the paws in details. Another action of this step is drawing of the final contours of the body. And do not forget to erase the guides.

Step 8

And we have a final step. In this step we will draw the shadows. Add shadows using classic hatching.
