Step 1
Sketch out a small head and a narrow torso in the form of two ovals. With the help of light lines sketch out the neck and tail.
Step 2
Now, using simple lines sketch out the limbs. Next, draw combs on the head and neck and thicken the tail.
Step 3
On the head draw the mouth and eye. Thicken the neck and limbs of our lizard. Next draw long and crooked fingers.
Step 4
Let’s get down to the details of the drawing. Using dark and clear lines draw out the outlines of the head. Draw our the eyes, mouth and add some wrinkles on the neck.
Step 5
Erase all the unnecessary guidelines and with the help of clear and dark lines carefully draw out the outlines of the basilisk body.
Step 6
It’s time for the final touches. In order for the drawing to look voluminous and complete, add some shadows by hatching.
If you followed all our instructions exactly, now you know how to draw a basilisk. But in order to improve your skills, try to draw this lizard in other poses using the knowledge that you learned from this lesson.
