Hello everybody. In this drawing lesson we’ll show you how to draw Emma Frost. This is the character that appears in the Marvel Universe. Created by writer Chris Clairmont and artist / writer John Burne, she made her debut in No. 129 Uncanny X-Men (January 1980).
To begin with, we will need to draw a base, a skeleton of our character in order to avoid errors in proportions in the future. At first sketch out Emma Frost’s head in the form of a simple oval. Next sketch out the neck and spine in the form of an usual line. In the upper part of this line sketch out a thorax cell and in the lower part sketch out the pelvis. With the help of simple lines sketch out the arms and legs.
Let’s work with the volume of the figure of Emma Frost. But at the very beginning, draw two lines that intersect in the center of the face. Next, with the help of a cylinder sketch out the neck. Below outline the torso, which narrows at the waist and widens in the hips. Next, sketch out the hips and legs, which gradually taper closer to the knees. Outline the arms and hands with simple geometric shapes.
Now let’s add the most basic details. As always, we will start the from the top and move downward. At first sketch out the outlines of lush hair. Next sketch out the facial features (in it the horizontal and vertical lines of the previous step will help us). Applying the smooth lines, we sketch out the outlines of clothing and a long cape behind the back.
Now let’s move on to the final details. Using long and slightly curved lines, draw the hair of Emma Frost. Next, go to the face and carefully draw out the eyes. Above the eyes draw out the delicate eyebrows, under the eyes draw out a neat nose and plump lips. Do not forget to erase all unnecessary lines from the head.
Let’s now move to the details of the torso. Using clear and dark lines, carefully draw out the neck. Next, outline the shape of the torso. Draw clothes without forgetting to draw out the outlines of the curves of the figure under the clothes. Sketch out seams on the clothing and line of abdominal muscles.
We continue the lesson on how to draw Emma Frost from the Marvel universe. Here we will take care of the arms. As always, using clear and dark lines we will need to draw out the lines of the arms. Draw out the hands, fingers and add the necessary folds of fabric. Also, we will need to erase all unnecessary guidelines from the arms.
Now let’s work on the lower part of the body of Emma Frost. Continuing the lines of the torso gently draw out the hips that smoothly pass into the legs and then into the feet. Next, draw lines of seams, folds and remove all unnecessary guidelines from the body. In the same step, using long lines draw out the cape.
Now let’s work with shadows. Here we will use light hatching to add shadows. But do not forget that you can add shadows as in the lesson about Iron Man, that is, using black and contrast areas of shadows. Moving from top to bottom, we will draw shadows using a light hatching.
It was a lesson about how to draw Emma Frost from the Marvel universe. In the end, we as always want to give you a couple of tips. If you could make this drawing without any problems, then you need to learn how to draw this character in different poses. To do this, you can first draw it from pages of comics or using different pictures from internet.
