How to Draw an Ork from Warhammer 40000
We have already drawn many races from Warhammer 40 000 universe. But we forgot about the most Waaagh! race of all.As you already understood we mean orks. You can see orks in different universes. They are in the lord of the rings, in dungeons and dragons, in ancient scrolls and in many other. But we are convinced that the coolest Orks are orks from Warhammer 40,000.
So let’s start a drawing tutorial about how to draw an ork from Warhammer 40,000.
Step 1
So we will draw an ork – it is creature that resembles a human in shape to a large extent. And first of all we will draw the skeleton of our ork warrior. Draw an oval head and a vertebral spine. Further outline large oblique thorax and little rounded pelvis. Sketch out the arms and legs and move to the next step.
Step 2
In this step we outline the contours of the body and limbs with light lines and geometric shapes. Next, draw the contours of face features and helmet line.
Step 3
In the previous step we outlined dummy of our ork, and to make it look more like real Warhammer 40 000 warrior, we will outline some basic details. Let’s start with the head and sketch out the outlines of the face and helmet. Next, we move to the body, sketching the outline of the costume. Outline guns and sword and move to the next step.
Step 4
Now we move to the details. Carefully draw out little angry eyes. Below the mouth draw out the big mouth with huge ugly teeth. As you can see the face of the ork are very simple to draw.
Step 5
So let’s move on to the torso. In this step we draw the powerful shoulders, huge pectoral muscles and the outlines of the torso. Do not forget to draw armor and weapon as shown in our example.
Step 6
In this step we will work with the arms of our warrior. Here we draw out huge muscular arms. Draw deltoids, round biceps, triceps and forearm muscles. The hardest part of this step is drawing of the fists. You can read special post about it. And in the final of this step we draw large gun and chain sword.
Step 7
Now let’s draw the lower part of the body of this beautiful ork warrior. Draw out skulls and grenade on the belt. Next, carefully draw out the outlines of the contours of the legs, as you can see in our example. Do not forget to draw knees and shoes of our character.
Step 8
So, our work on the drawing is almost finished, and in this step we just need to add some shadows. This we will do with the help of dense hatching in those areas where the light does not fall.
