How to Draw a Lamborghini Veneno

Every Lamborghini is unique in its own way in terms of design and philosophy, and the subject of this tutorial is a striking example. Here we will show you how to draw a Lamborghini Veneno and convey all the complex and intricate design elements of this Italian sports car.

From beginning to end, we will construct the car using the basic principles of drawing a Lamborghini, while adding at almost every step the specific elements that will let the viewer recognize the Veneno.

How to draw a Lamborghini Veneno step by step

Step 1: Sketch the Veneno body

The Lamborghini Veneno is a supercar with a huge number of details, but the beginning of this tutorial will be as simple as possible. As usual on our site, first sketch the low body of the Veneno using very light lines. Make the front extremely low and pointed, then raise the upper contour toward the shallow roof and then lower it again toward the rear of the supercar.

Step 2: Add the headlight, arches, and spoiler

Now we will start adding numerous details to the Lamborghini Veneno. At the front, sketch the outline of the intricate headlight and the equally intricate air intake in the bumper. Next, sketch the outlines of the large wheel arches and the huge rear spoiler of the Veneno.

Step 3: Sketch the raised scissor doors

We continue to add details to the Lamborghini Veneno drawing. This supercar is equipped with scissor doors that open upward, and here we will sketch their outlines. Draw both doors rising diagonally from the body and add the side mirrors near their lower front edges. Next, draw the wheels inside the arches and a large rear side air intake in the Lamborghini body.

Step 4: Refine the angular front end

In the previous step, we finished the basic outline of our Lamborghini Veneno, and starting with step four, we will draw this supercar in more detail. First, carefully draw the complex elongated headlight. Next, refine the details of the bumper and the equally complex Veneno hood. Draw the long angular creases on the hood and separate the several openings and projecting edges that form the front bumper.

Step 5: Draw the windshield and scissor doors

Let’s move on to the details at the top of the Lamborghini Veneno body. Continuing the lines of the hood, draw the windshield. Next, outline and detail the raised scissor doors. On the doors, draw the handles and side mirrors. Erase the guidelines from the windshield and doors.

Step 6: Draw the doorway and cabin

Follow its inner edge downward and around the thick side sill so that the opening has visible depth beneath the raised door. Draw the outline of the seat inside the cabin. Show the seat back rising behind the sill and add the inner lines visible inside the Lamborghini interior. Next, go to the rear of the Lambo and draw the large air intake. As you draw the details, do not forget to remove unnecessary guidelines.

Step 7: Refine the rear fender and spoiler

Continue to draw the details at the rear of the Lamborghini Veneno. Here draw the large rear spoiler, rear bumper, rear fender, and lower body line. With an eraser, remove all the remaining unnecessary guidelines from the Lambo drawing.

Step 8: Draw the low-profile tires and rims

Using smooth, dark lines, carefully trace the wheels and low-profile tires. Next, draw the multi-spoke rims or choose another style. In our example, mark the central hub first and draw the thin curved spokes outward from it, fitting the entire pattern inside the visible plane of each rim.

Step 9: Add shadows and reflections

Using hatching, draw shadows in the least illuminated areas of the Lambo body. Also, do not forget to add highlights and the cast shadow under the supercar. Draw the cast shadow as a long dark strip beneath the very low Veneno body, and use a few long light strokes on the raised doors and windows to indicate reflections on their large flat surfaces.

Lamborghini cars usually have quite intricate designs, and the Veneno is a striking example. The car has many small details, complex transitions, and various elements on the body.

All these volumes and forms need to be conveyed correctly on paper. At the same time, all these elements and details are secondary to drawing the overall form and volume of the car.
