How to Draw Celery
Now is the time for another very simple drawing tutorial, isn’t it? We are sure that this is true. And we have prepared a new drawing guide about how to draw celery. We decided to divide this lesson into four steps to make it easier to draw.
Step 1
First, we draw the outline of celery. You can see that it consists of two parts. The upper part is large and rounded. And bottom part and elongated.
Step 2
Now we will add some details on both parts. On the round top, we draw several circular patterns. On the horizontal part we draw several long, uneven lines as in our sample.
Step 3
In this step we erase the extra guidelines from both parts of our drawing. We also draw the final contours of the upper part to get the completed result.
Step 4
Now is the time to work with shadows. You can use complex penumbra techniques and paint complex highlights. But we decided to choose the usual hatching. Hatching is located quite tightly on the horizontal part of the stem. On the rounded part, the hatching is very light.
This is not the most frequent guest of various drawing tutorials and textbooks, and you rarely find a celery drawing lesson (it even sounds funny). But we thought that our readers should be able to draw everything, so this lesson will also be very useful. Among other things, this lesson will be useful for those who want to master such a genre as still life, and to draw not only apples and grapes, but also such unusual subjects for a still life as celery.
Anyway, do not forget that we regularly post new and interesting material in our social networks, such as Pinterest, Google Plus or Facebook, and we will be very happy if you subscribe to us and follow the updates on drawingforall.net.
