How to Draw Sherlock Holmes

Today we will tell you about how to draw Sherlock Holmes. As you probably know, Sherlock is the greatest detective from novels ever.

Step 1

At the beginning we should to draw the skeleton of the our character. At first draw the head that looks like an oval. Using an ordinary line, draw the spine. The length of the spine is approximately equal to two heights of the head. Sketch out the hands and legs. The height of the legs is equal of the height of the spine.

Draw the lines of the facial symmetry. The vertical line will help us to find the center of the face. At the center draw the horizontal line, which will help us to draw the eyes.

 

Step 2

Let’s add some flesh to the stickman. Using a big cylinder draw the body. Using long cylinders draw the hands and legs. As you can see the pelvis looks like a triangle, and articulations look like circles.

 

Step 3

And we begin to work with the basic details of Sherlock. Using clear and dark lines draw out the outline of the face. At the end of the step erase all unnecessary guidelines from the head.

 

Step 4

In this step we will draw a hair. You probably know the recognizable haircut of Sherlock. This hairstyle is remains unchanged even when he sleeps.

 

Step 5

Sherlock in the performance of Benedict Cumberbatch looks a little different than the familiar image. And the new Sherlock has several accessories. The most recognizable accessory is a scarf. So in this step we will draw a scarf around the neck.
