How to Draw a Dire Wolf

Hello, dear artists. We like to draw animals and various monsters, and in today’s lesson we decided to combine these two themes. So, meet the lesson on how to draw a dire wolf.

 

Step 1

First of all we sketch out the head in the form of a circle. Next, using a large circular draw a chest and pelvis. At the end of the step sketch out the limbs and tail. Let’s pay attention that in our example the dire wolf stands in a pose, ready to attack.

Step 2

First of all using simple lines sketch out the open mouth of the fire wolf. Next draw sharp ears and a line on which the eyes will be located. Then connect the chest and pelvis and form the torso. Thicken the paws and draw the tail.

Step 3

Now let’s move to the basic details. First of all draw out the huge mouth dotted with sharp teeth. Next draw out the frown eyes and nose. Add some wrinkles to the face.

Step 4

Now let’s finish drawing our monster’s head. Draw out the ears and hairy outlines of the head. Now with the help of short and slightly curved lines draw out hairy outlines of the front part of the torso of our dire wolve.

Step 5

Now let’s move to the forelegs. Draw the paws taking into account the bones and joints under the skin. Draw out the fingers with sharp claws.

 

Step 6

Now go to the back of the body of our dire wolf and draw out the hind legs on the same principle as we drew the front paws. Using long and curved lines draw out the tail. Also do not forget to erase all the remaining guidelines.

Step 7

We got to the last step in the drawing lesson about how to draw a dire wolf. Here we need to draw shadows. Using light lines draw the outlines of the shadows. Then draw the shadows with the help of hatching.
