How to Draw Scissors

This lesson will be devoted to how to draw scissors – a cutting tool that was created in ancient times and is used all over the world. This is a simple subject, and the drawing guide will also be very simple, and will consist of only five stages.

 

Step 1

Scissors consist of two blades, and in this stage we will outline one of these two blades. First, we sketch the blade itself and the contour of the hole for the finger. That is, in the initial stage, your scissors drawing should look like something like this.

Step 2

Now we need to depict the other half of the scissors, which also consists of a blade and a hole for a finger. Recall that the lines in the first two steps of the instruction about scissors should be very light. The scissors sketch is complete, and starting with the third step, we will deal with the final details.

Step 3

This step of the instruction about drawing scissors will be much more difficult than the previous ones. With the help of clear and dark lines draw out the blades. Depict the edges of the scissors and the screw holding the blades together.

Step 4

Now continuing the lines of the blades gently draw the outlines of the scissors’ handles. Next, carefully draw the holes for the fingers. They can be either the same size or different.

Step 5
