Polaris (real name is Lorna Dane) is a superhero of Marvel Comics and also a member of the X-Men. Polaris is a mutant that has the ability to control magnetism.
By tradition, we begin with the skeleton of the character. First of all, we sketch out an oval head, below which we draw a line of the spine. On this simple line sketch out the thorax and pelvis. With the help of simple lines sketch out the arms and legs. Recall that the lines in the first steps should be very light, and even almost transparent.
The second step by tradition will be devoted to the fact that in it we will add volume to the body of our character. On the head, we sketch out two intersecting lines. Next, we outline the cylindrical neck and the shape of the torso, which narrows strongly at the waist. Next, outline thin arms and legs. Try to repeat all the curves as in our example.
Now let’s add the most basic details to the body of our character. Starting with the head, we will outline the eyes, nose and mouth. After that, outline the contours of unusual mask and long, wriggling hair. At the end of this step, sketch out the outlines of the costume and the cape behind the back.
Let’s now move on to drawing the final details. We begin with a details of the face, carefully drawing the eyes, nose and mouth. Be especially careful when you draw the details of the face, as they should be very neat. Then draw the outlines of the head, mask and remove all unnecessary guidelines from the head.
Simultaneously a complex and simple step. Here we will need to draw long hair of our character. Using long and curved lines, carefully draw out everything as shown in our example below. At the end of the step, by tradition, we erase all unnecessary lines from the head and hair.
Now let’s move on to the torso of our character. With the help of clear and smooth lines, we carefully draw everything as in our example. Drawing the torso, take into account all the curves of the body under the clothes. Also, carefully draw all the details of clothing and erase all unnecessary guidelines from the torso.
Now we will do the same, but this time with the arms. Here we will need to carefully draw out the outlines of the arms with the help of smooth and dark lines. In the same step, draw thin fingers and wriggling cape behind the back. Also delete all unnecessary guidelines from the top part of the body.
Now it remains for us to draw the lower part of Polaris. Using long and smooth lines, carefully draw hips and legs, as shown in our example. Draw lines of knees and outlines of shoes hitgh. Remove all remaining guidelines from the body.
