As you probably know, we really like cool cars. And on our site there is a huge number of drawing lessons about a variety of cool cars.
First of all, outline the body with a very light, almost invisible lines. Note that race cars must be very low and wide. Try to repeat the outlines of the body of the car as shown in our example.
Now add the outlines of the main details on the body of the car, such as headlights, mirrors and wheels. In this step, as in the previous one, very light lines should be used.
Using crisp and dark lines draw out the outlines of angular headlights and outlines details on the hood. Try not to make mistakes in the details and their location on the hood.
Now draw the outlines of a complex bumper. Try to repeat the outlines of the bumper as shown in our example.
We move to the top of the car and draw out a roof, windows and rear-view mirrors. Note that the roof must be very low, since we are drawing a racing car.
Now draw the details on the side surface of the car body. Here we see the outlines of the door, handle and air intake. Try to repeat all the details as in our example.
Now a very difficult step – draw out the outlines of wheels and rims. Remove all unnecessary lines, drawn by us in the first steps.
Now let’s add some shadows to make our car more voluminous and realistic. As you probably know, to draw shadows we need to use dense hatching.
This lesson was about how to draw a race car step by step. We showed this on the example of the Lamborghini (we love Lamborghini very much), but you can draw any other race car using the principles from this lesson.
